Someone left the gate to the chicken run open again.
The Noir de Bigorre is the black pig from our part of SW France. The breed was almost extinct, but is now thriving again. Reared in the open and eating acorns and foraging in the woods, it's far tastier than supermarket ham and saucisson.
'Froid de canard' is a French description when it is bitterly cold. Clearly, this poor chap is going to have to do better than a few droopy flowers to warm this lady's heart.
This cute little chap here appears on almost every menu in the south west.
